FAMILY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Once a week we do a family physical activity. This is a time for us to do something physical in more of a recreational type setting while enjoying each other’s company. We do this for a minimum of 30 minutes, but it is usually much longer than that depending on the activity that we choose. This is a list of different physical activities that we do as a family. Please don’t feel confined by the list. If there is something that your family does that keeps you moving that is not on the list, feel free to do it instead.

Take a walk through the neighborhood as a family
Play Frisbee
Play a game of basketball
Play a game of touch football
Toss a baseball
Practice batting
Dance
Go for a hike
Climb a rock wall
Play jump rope games
Play hide and seek
Have a pillow fight
Go for a bike ride
Have relay races
Play soccer
Run a race together as a family
Go swimming
Do some gardening or yard work (make it fun)
